As a single parent working at Walmart, I can't afford that... I have taught my daughter the importance of money, I don't earn much and she is very smart and understands, she will be happy with the little things I do for her. Just recently she told me that at her last birthday when I made a cake together with her she was truly happy, this year I think I have saved up after paying the rent and food and working overtime, with that I will buy her a proper gift.

Well, she'll be 12 or 13? In either case, she may be coming up on the age when girly stuff will interest her more; you could get her a starter makeup kit and some perfume, maybe.
