R.I.P. One Manga. ;_______;

As of now, I just Google whatever manga I wanna read and it's easy enough to find. I haven't read manga online in a while though; I download it and convert it for my Nook.

Its really dumb. I think the owner wanted to go out of the way of possible cease and desists (and the costs related) and I can understand their reasons, but its dumb.

I as a publisher would totally put up a site like this, make some subscription model like some videosites have, and say: Here guys, for 10 bucks a month you can read as much as you can digest, nicely put on in best quality. Subscribers also get %%% when ordering hardcopies... ^_^

Thats what I would do.

Yeah, I didn't really 'get' their statement. Publishers have "changed their mind" about even unlicensed manga? So? Tell them to fuck off!

Unlicensed really doesn't fit into the category, I suppose they were just feeling it wasn't worth keeping up for just that.

Personally, I wouldn't have any interest in dealing with copyright material. It opens up so many doors to screw you over. Remember that BSG fan-site?

actually, they didn't even have any copyright material on it, so bad example.

Think of TPB.
